Christopher has
been involved with the Film and Television Industry for over twenty
years as a writer, producer, and director.
While growing up in
Hollywood, California Christopher spent most of his time on studio
back-lots with his father, Scott Gourlay, an actor/stuntman who was
featured in over thirty episodes of the television series, Emergency.
As a kid, Christopher's father helped him pursue a career as a child
actor. At the age of six he joined an acting class, and was even
featured on the Dinah Shore Show. Christopher continued his quest for
success and eventually got a few commercials.

| In 2002, he
produced the independent short length feature film, "64 Disk", starring Scott Roe and Zachary Throne.
Synopsis: Two guys battle over the fate of the world from their apartment.
Based from a Hundu myth that there are three gods in the center of the Earth and they are moving 64 disk from one peg to a third peg. Now there are certain rules for each peg moved and it takes the Hindu gods one second to move each disk. According to the Hindu myth once each peg is moved from the first peg to the third Peg the world ends. Now if the Hindu gods move each peg by the rules then it would take billions upon billions upon billions of years and it would be the end of Earth.
Well one of our computer savy roommates decides to speed up the process a bit and becomes obsessed with the Hindu Myth. He builds a computer program to now transfer the 64 disk at a much higher rate. Insted of tranfersing one disk per second he is now able to transfer 1000's upon 1000's of disk per second. Now insted of the Earth ending in billions of years it will now end in a couple of days. The other roommate tries to destroy the computer and not with the consent of the other roommate.

In 2006, he
produced the independent feature film, Happy Holidays and was Line
Producer for the film One Of Our Own, Starring Mathew Lillard, Kate
Beahan, Claire Rankin and Josh Randal. Later that year Christopher
produced the short film, “These Boots Are Made For Walken”, starring
Andrew Bowen. It has won numerous awards throughout the film festival
circuit.

Christopher has
been awarded projects from a variety of different television networks
such as; A&E Networks, The History Channel, Nickelodeon, MTV, PBS,
etc. facilitating shoots both big and small in the Los Angeles area as
well as many other cities and states across the continental US.
He
has completed both regional and national commercials for advertising
top ad agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mitsubishi & Toyota, J.
Walter Thompson, The Pacific Northwest Trails & Ford Motors and The
Cimarron Group, A2P & USA Boxing.
He wrote and directed the
musical special titled “Kitaro, An Enchanted Evening Vol. II”. DOMO
Records produced this for PBS, which then aired the program on 123
different PBS channels/markets across the U.S.

In the last few
years, Christopher has gone on to complete a few TV Pilots under his
company CDG Productions, Custom Choppers Building Dreams, V-Twin
Motorcycles TV, The Millennium News Report and others. He’s also served
as a freelance Line Producer on numerous productions, Live by Request
with Earth, Wind and Fire, Comedy Week with Phyllis Diller, Monty
Python Week with Eric Idle, Mob Week with Joe Mantegna, and many
others, these certain projects were all for A&E Networks, produced
by 11/11 Productions.

In 1998
Christopher produced behind-the-scenes documentary of the world-famous
Ozzfest Tour for Ozzy and Sharon Osborne's company, Here We Go Again
Productions. He spent four weeks traveling from city to city capturing
the crazy antics of the Ozzfest Tour. Christopher spent time with the
many great acts, Ozzy Osbourne, Tool, Megadeath, Limp Bizkit,
Motorhead, System of a Down, Melvins, Incubus and Monster Voodoo
Machine.

His current
project is an independent feature film titled, Curiosity Kills, written
by Michael Kent and Christopher. This suspense filled thriller has a
Youngman’s curiosity edging him to an obsession to find one man while
diving into an adventure of horror.

Producer/Line Producer Experience:
Oversaw all aspects of the production including researching, pre-interviewing, and writing. Responsible for interviewing subjects, casting, preparing schedules and shooting plans, directing shoots, managing crews, accounting of all expenses, providing releases and other deliverables. Setting up field shoots, making necessary trades, supervising field crews, location expense accounting, coordinating acquisition of still photos, logging, scripting and supervising off-line editing and following up on paperwork required for deliverables and post-production. Coordinated the activities of 40+ cast and crew members. Focusing and finesse story within the productions format, to ensure all content is in order and has the necessary support and materials. Ensure scripts contain trades and only participants who signed releases. Assist Editors and Post Producers with determined fixes.

By working my way up the ladder has allowed me to experience what each department faces when transforming paper into moving pictures. This has given me the ability to understand what each department needs to achieve such goals. This helps each department and myself to achieve an understanding of what’s needed and what’s not and keeps production budgets on track.
I am very creative in both reality and imaginary, as my writing skills will reveal. I have strong editing skills on Final Cut Pro and basic knowledge of Avid Symphony, Express, Photoshop and Live Type. I’m comfortable in both Mac and PC environments and proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Entourage).

I have a keen creative mind and a strong understanding of logistics. I can see the big picture while simultaneously focusing on the details.
